The Institute of Physics was founded in 1938. For about seven decades it has grown and matured as a leading research institution.
It is one of the most important centers of physics research in the country and has gained a solid reputation nationally and
internationally.
The objectives of the Institute are:
- To promote and conduct scientific research at the frontier of knowledge in several areas of contemporary physics and related
fields.
- To train and educate high-level researchers and specialists in physics.
- To promote the use and application of basic research for the benefit and development of the society.
- To promote the diffusion of the knowledge of this science.
