Application of a specific luminescence model to heavy-ion scintillation detection

Abstract

A model, originally developed for the specific luminescence of thin films, has been adapted to predict the light-output response (L) of scintillator detectors to heavy-ions. The resulting model is applied to available data from ΔE(Si)+ L arrays with CsI(TI) scintillators.
