Juan Ruben Gomez-Solano is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Physics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He received his PhD in Physics from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon (France) in 2011. From 2011 to 2015, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (Stuttgart, Germany), working on microrheology of complex fluids. Later, he joined the University of Stuttgart (Germany) as a postdoctoral researcher from 2015 to 2017, and then University of Konstanz (Germany) as a project leader from 2017 to 2018, working on self-propelled colloids and Brownian particles in non-equilibrium environments. His research interests include non-equilibrium statistical mechanics, soft condensed matter, stochastic processes, and optical micromanipulation.
