Miramontes named Top Role Model in Science and Engineering

Luis E. Miramontes
named as outstandig Role Model in Science and Engineering. The
honouring comes from the 2014 Edition of the USA Science &
Engineering Festival whose mission is "to re-invigorate the interest of
our nation's youth in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)
by producing and presenting the most compelling, exciting, educational
and entertaining science festival in the United States". In this way
the USA Festival acknoweldeges the universal contribution of this Mexican scientist, presenting it as an
example for future generations [more].
Miramontes role has been remarked in both medicine and chemistry. His
role is cited next to Marie Curie whose work (worth two Nobel Prizes)
was also an oustanding contribution on both medice and chemistry.

Week of Science and Innovation 2011 Mexico City

October
2011/ Mexico City celebrated at DF downtown that has included a picture
exhibition on Mexican Science organized by Natalia Jardón. The
exhibition included a secction devoted to of Luis E. Miramontes.
