The Institute of Physics has a Quality Management System based on the ISO9001:2015 "Quality Management Systems" and ISO17025:2017 "Competence of testing and calibration laboratories" International Standards of Operation at its laboratories:
LEMA, LANCIC, LAREC y LCM have the ISO9001:2015 certification, in addition to the UNAM Quality Recognition delivered by the Coordination of Scientific Research.
"The Institute of Physics is committed to promote quality in the various tasks it develops, such as research in physics and related areas, training of human resources, dissemination of the knowledge generated and the link with other sectors. In particular, it is committed to ensure quality in the services of laboratories that perform tests on different types of samples and objects of study, issuing reliable, truthful and traceable results, with test methods developed by itself and when required under the applicable regulations, with the appropriate measuring equipment, verified and/or calibrated continuously based on what is indicated in the International Standards ISO 9001: 2015- Quality Management Systems - Requirements and ISO 17025:2017 "General Requirements for the Competence of Testing Laboratories", and thus consistently meet the needs and expectations of our customers with quality, safety, legality and objectivity, through the commitment of top management to continuously improve the effectiveness of the implemented Quality Management System."
