A three-day reserach workshop
Experiments carried out with fluid-mechanical 'pilot-wave' systems show a range of quantum-like properties, including tunneling, quantization of angular momentum, etc. In the quantum world, the electromagnetic background field has been identified as a possible source for the wave-like behavior of particles and other quantum properties. What is common to both kinds of system, what is the extent of the analogies, and what can we learn from each other?
The workshop intends to lead to points of convergence for possible future collaboration.
